The Founders

The two founders of Apple are the Americans Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak; born in 1955 and 1950 respectively. The former was keen on designing video games for Atari, and the latter worked for Hewlett Packard and was an electronic hacker. They were outcasts between their peers in high school and both of them decided to drop college. They joined “Homebrew Computer Club” where people interested in electronics are met together in order to share their ideas, knowledge, and to help in building up their own computers.
Introducing Apple I 1976

In 1975, Jobs and Wozniak started working on their first electronic device in Job’s bedroom. And every two weeks they show the members of the “Homebrew Computer Club” their work and latest enhancements added on the device. But they needed some help in terms of starting up their business. Therefore they asked a former colleague to join them who is Ronald Wayne who worked in Atari as a draftsman. Finally on April 1, 1976, they finished inventing the device and it is called Apple I, which gained popularity in their community. Apple I at first lacked basic features like case and keyboard which were added later. Moreover, it was priced at $666.66 and mainly it was a game machine.
Company's name
The name was simply inspired from an apple orchard, where the two founders used to work in. The story starts when they were trying to find out a suitable name for their new business and decided that if they didn’t choose a name by the end of the day they are going to call it “Apple” computers.
Logo
The very first apple’s logo included Sir Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree. It was created by Ronald Wayne. But Steve Jobs decided to change the logo into a simpler design. Therefore, the old logo was replaced by an apple with a bite taken out of it from the right hand side. Furthermore, the one who invented apple’s new logo is Rob Janoff. The company keep changing the color of the logo with remaining the same design.
